Credit Access Grameen Ltd. (formerly known as Grameen Koota Financial Services Pvt. Ltd.) is a Micro Finance institution providing a wide range of financial services to the rural poor and low-income households, particularly women. It is registered with the Reserve Bank of India under the NBFC-MFI category. Grameen Koota was founded in May 1999 as a project under the, T. Muniswamappa Trust (TMT), an NGO in South Bangalore. The Grameen Trust, Bangladesh, provided seed capital funding to TMT to replicate the Grameen Bank, Bangladesh, microfinance model.
